Paintsville is the 5000 strong metropolis where I spent most of my formative years way back in the hills of Eastern Kentucky.

Located in Johnson County, the name Paintsville is said to have come from the numerous Indian markings along the banks of Paint Creek.

While growing up I always dreamed of moving on to bigger and better places, but living in a major metropolitan area has caused me to appreciate the very simple life we had in those rolling mountains. It's definitely a different place...in a good way.
