Husband to
Beru Lars and brother of
Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Lars family was entrusted with the care of
Luke Skywalker in order to hide him from his father,
Darth Vader. For years, Owen Lars made a peaceful life for himself as a moisture farmer on
Tatooine.
Imperial Stormtroopers killed Owen and his wife Beru when they tracked two droids,
C-3PO and
R2-D2, to the farm. Owen had recently bought the
droids from a caravan of
Jawas.
