Brazilian band formed by composers, singers and players Mauricio Pereira and Andre Abujamra. The band name means literally "The black women", although it was formed by two white guys.

They released only two albums in their short carrer. "Musica e Ciencia" (1988) introduced the band distinctive way of mixing electronic music, samplers and regional themes and instruments that resulted in exotic and interesting songs like "Milho". In 1990 they released "Musica Serve Pra Isso", less diverse in style but still very creative. The band dissolved in 1991, although they have since played together in each other's albums.
