Also invented by Brock Yates of Car and Driver magazine, the One Lap of America is a lot less illegal than it's predecessor, the Cannonball Run. It was first run in 1984 and was then an actual lap around the US. Since then it has been shortened, but in no way is it a walk through the park. Featuring timed segments on real racetracks, many famous people have participated in this charity event.
