Fires burn and thunders roar.
A single man stands unaware.
His blinded eye and deafened ear
Show nothing of this world's demise.
As mountains crumble, still he stands.
Oceans churn, and still he stands.
People die, and still he stands
Now alone, his heart consumed.
He saw the light
As it faded from her eyes.
He heard her gasp
As her last breath escaped her.
After that, nothing.
Blind to the world,
Deaf to its pleas,
"Now I'm nothing..."
