Neighborhood in San Francisco, just west of the Mission, south of the Castro. On its east side, it is approximately bounded by Dolores Street, just a few blocks from Mission Street.

Noe Valley is generally considered a little safer (and more expensive) than the Mission. It does feel a little greener than some of SF's other neighborhoods. However, some think it has become increasingly yuppified; plenty of cute shops and some chains, but a lack of useful stores for residents. It sometimes seems to me like there are 2 or 3 pizza places on every block of 24th Street. There are some cool little stores, though. But if you want to just go out and party, you'll probably end up going to another neighborhood.

Named after Jose de Jesus Noe.
