This musical adaptation of Frederico Fellini's immortal classic 8 1/2 is a spectacular showcase. Like Fellini's film, it is an autobiographical look at a film director who can't make his latest film, even though they are about to begin shooting. Unlike the film though, the musical's cast only contains one male leading role, that of Guido Contini, the director. Nine is a wonderful musical that contains many rare gems of music genius.
