Navlab is a project at the Carnegie Mellon Robotics Institute. Navlab was the first vehicle to drive autonomously across the United States, from Pittsburgh, PA to San Diego, CA. The leader of the Navlab project, Dr. Charles Thorpe, is currently the acting director of the Robotics Institute.

Navlab has been implemented on several vehicle platforms. Some previous platforms include a HMMWV, a Honda Accord, and a Houston Metro bus.
