A fashionable area in Milano, south of the city center.

This is where you will find most of the bars, small discos and interesting clubs. It is not a great area for eating out, because on the average it is fairly overpriced.
In the Navigli you will also find an interesting anarchist's house and bar, in Via della Conchetta.

Navigli means "canals": in fact there are a couple of long canals that used to be very important for shipping. The main weir was designed by Leonardo, and it is still working fine.
Due to the canals, this is also a favorite place for mosquitos. Huge, man-eating bugs that make August in Milano hell.
