Early 1660s.
The English attempt to control the American colonies.
The acts said that the trade of British colonies must use ships that were either made in England or controled by English. Also, 3/4 of the crew of all ships must be English.
Certain commodities were prohibited to trade except through England, including most trade from France.
The result of these acts was more discontent in the colonies, leading up to the Civil War, and the start of a black market for commodities.
