Mission Statement:

The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) Inc., is a volunteer organization, inspired by Jewish values, that works through a program of research, education, advocacy, and community service to improve the quality of life for women, children and families and strives to ensure individual rights and freedoms for all.

NCJW was founded in Chicago in 1893 by Hannah Solomon, a Reform Jewish social advocate dedicated to giving women, children and new immigrants a voice. The many sections across America provide literacy programs, elder care initiatives, services to new Americans, early learning classes, health education, political advocacy, and Israel awareness, etc., to their respective communities.
