NATFHE or the University and College Lecturers' Union is the British Trades Union that represents some 65,000 teachers and lecturers involved in post 16 education in the United Kingdom.

Actually NATFHE stands for the National Association of Teachers in Further and Higher Education and the name harks back to the time when there was a clear division in British post school education between

  • Universities
  • Polytechnics
  • other Technical Colleges and Further Education Colleges
NATFHE recruited from the last of these, hence the name.
