Thank you... you're beautiful.

Murph and the MagicTones are the cabaret/lounge band featured in the classic John Landis musical The Blues Brothers. The MagicTones was formed from the remnants of The Blues Brothers Band after Jake went in the slammer.

They band members are as follows:

Murphy 'Murph' Dunne

Steve 'The Colonel' Cropper

Donald 'Duck' Dunn

Willie 'Too Big' Hall

Tom 'Bones' Malone.

Steve Cropper and Donald Dunn are of course famed for being in Booker T. and the MGs. Tom Malone had a stint with Paul Schaffer and the CBS Orhestra on The Late Show with David letterman. Suffice to say that they are all highly respected greats and have all carved out their own part in music history.

They are distinctive in that they wore maroon-velvet suits with big lapels and ruffled shirts, although in the movie John Belushi refers to them as candy-ass monkey suits. 'Duck' described their former glory days with the Blues Brothers as having a sound that could 'turn goat piss into gasoline.

The song they're playing is dynamite and Murph sings with all his heart: "Quando, Quando, Quando!"... if anyone knows the lyrics in full to this song and indeed if you have a translation, please do the writeup.
