Mr. Hand is injected with John Murdoch's fabricated memories in a failed bid to determine Murdoch's whereabouts and destinations and though he survives the final conflict between Murdoch and Mr. Book, his (er, reclaimed) body doesn't take well to the implantation and he is sadly neutralized from an effective menace at the end of the film.
