A persons code of what is right and what is wrong

Something that each individual must determine for themselves.
Organized religion, parents, teachers, and governments often try to force their moral codes onto people, often with bad results, such as depression, feelings of rejection, self-hatred, and blind-fanaticism. Such results are often caused by failed brainwashing

It is up to each person to determine their own individual moral code. Others may help them, or guide them, or offer suggestions, but it is not up to them to decide the moral code of another person. Each person must, at some point of their life, decide what they consider right and wrong. Many do this as children or young adults as they come to terms with life. Some people find a religion that may serve as a guide for their code, however most people decide to selectively omit parts of a religious moral code.
