The non-profit Missouri Writers Guild was founded in 1915 to further the writing and publishing of authors based in the state of Missouri. The Guild maintains several chapter all over the state and has an annual conference for writing news, workshops, and panels on the state of publishing in general with an emphasis on how it impacts writers living in the state.
The website for the Guild is located at http://www.missouriwritersguild.org.
The organization maintains a speaker's bureau for folks looking to bring in an author to their event, a listing of signings, conferences, conventions, and workshops that its members will be attending as professionals. Membership dues are modest, currently $40 per year. To join, one must be professionally published.
