Minbar

In the Babylon 5 universe, homeworld of the Minbari Federation. The seventh planet from its sun. Almost a quarter of the planet's surface is covered by its polar ice cap. It is also noted for its crystalline formations, from which many of its cities are carved.

In Islam, the platform or box in a mosque from which the imam delivers his sermon. Analogous to the Christian pulpit.
