You know how “secret sauce” recipes are always something simple, like ketchup and mayonnaise or ranch dressing? Well, here’s one that works on Mexican-themed dishes. I use it on nachos all the time, but you can also use it with eggs for a Mexican omelette, with avocados for a quick guacamole, or even with a salad, if that’s what you’re in the mood for.

Mexican secret sauce

Ingredients

Directions

Pour ranch dressing into glass jar with lid. Add cumin, chili powder blend, lime juice, lemon juice, honey and garlic powder. Mix thoroughly, shaken or stirred, and refrigerate overnight before using.

If you can't find the chili powder blend (I use the SpiceHunter blend), you can always the same amount of taco or fajita seasoning. Just remember to delete the extra cumin, as well.
