May Week, as the name
misleads you from thinking, is a two week event taking place in
June in the
University city of
Cambridge. Following on immediately from the end of
exams, what generally takes place is an stream of
drunken
debauchery interrupted only by the occasional trip to the
A&E room of
Addenbrooke's.
Activities associated with May Week are garden parties, vomiting, the drinking of Pimm's, punting to Granchester, vivas, vomiting and of course May Balls.
One of the many summer activities that is considered very British.
