Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Located 136 miles west of Boston in North Adams, Massachusetts. Mass MoCA opened in 1998 in a series of renovated mill buildings. The large open gallery spaces allow it to house unusual installations, such as the current exhibition of überorgan, a series of giant air-filled bags, some up to fifty feet long, each powering an homemade organ pipe and controlled from a central control unit. Other exhibits include a series of sugar maples which are suspended upside down in the courtyard and grow more or less normally.

I'm not one for art museums, but found the current set of exhibitions at Mass MoCA to be tremendously engaging, and in some cases, really fucking trippy.
