In 1998, Mary Kay LeTourneau was charged with child-rape. She was a 36-year-old Tacoma, Washington schoolteacher who slept with a 13-year-old student. She has had two babies with this student. The children are being raised by the boy's mother in Seattle. LeTourneau told Mirabella magazine that she and the boy had 10 children together in a past life. The case is unusual because the raper in this situation is female. Male offenders usually face hard prison sentences, whereas LeTourneau has been sentenced to a mix of community service, treatment and restrictions along with a short six-month jail sentence.
Note that I have been unable to find any connection between Mary Kay LeTourneau and R.G. LeTourneau.
