according to hacker lore, the man who lent his initials (MZ) to the header section of MS-DOS (and now Windows) executables. (he was one of the principle architects of MS-DOS 2.0, so it seems likely, but I don't know that it has ever been publicly stated as being fact.)

apparently still works at Microsoft (, although he seems to be associated with Artifice, Inc, which produces DesignWorkshop, an architectural modeler and renderer.
