Margot Adler (grand-daughter of Psychologist
Alfred Adler) is the author of
Drawing Down the Moon: Witches, Druids, Goddess-Worshippers and other Pagans in America Today.
This book is probably one of the most comprehensive and objective texts about Neo-Paganism written. Ms. Adler, a Pagan herself, describes Wicca and other Neo-Pagan religions in a very matter-of-fact light, debunking many of the stereotypes and stigmas surrounding Neo-Paganism while also shedding light on some of the controversial aspects of the movement.
Ms. Adler also wrote a book called Heretic's Heart : A Journey through Spirit and Revolution, about her experiences during the Vietnam era.
Ms. Adler writes a monthly column for Beliefnet (http://www.beliefnet.org) about Paganism and is also a correspondent on National Public Radio (NPR).
Editors Note:
Adler died on July 28, 2014 at the age of 68 after suffering a losing battle with endometrial cancer.
