So I think that finally, today, my intfic based on Meek and obedient you follow the leader down well trodden corridors into the valley of steel is feature-complete. That is to say, it's playable and can be successfully completed. It's not polished, and there are things wrong with it, and if anyone out there likes Infocom-style (I flatter myself) games, I'd love to have you playtest it and give me feedback, bugs, anything like that. As I said, it's actually complete and playable all the way through; this isn't a 'HELP ME FIX MY BROKEN THING' request. :-)
