On a personal note, a quadra 650 was my second mac. It was my dad's work machine (he was a journalist at the time, hence he used a mac) from when he brought it in late '93 until about '97. The setup had a 16" monitor, stylewriter II printer and a 14.4 modem. This was, of course, in the days of 4p per minute metered dial-up internet. After my dad stopped using it, it became my box, and was used for all kinds of geekery. I finally gave up on it in early 2000, when my dad stopped using his Performa 6400, in favour of a pee-cee (grrrrr).
