Short for Microsoft Mac Business Unit. Probably the best thing that came out of the Microsoft-Apple deal back in 1997, the MacBU is the developer of ass-kicking products like Internet Explorer 5 Mac Edition and Office 2001. The MacBU employees are bona-fide mac-heads and Apple has actually used some of their developments in its own software (like the Organize Toolbar feature in Mac OS X.) These are the guys responsible for putting QuickTime integration in PowerPoint 2001, rather than using Windows Media.

The MacBU team also does smaller things like the phenomenal Mac drivers for Microsoft input devices and the design of the Microsoft MacTopia web site.
