Seaside town 2 hours drive southwest of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Popular in the summer months when the usual population of 1,500 swells to perhaps 10,000. Located on the Great Ocean Road. Boasts a large swimming and surfing beach with a surf life saving club. Named after a place in Scotland as the coastline reminds visitors of parts of the Scottish coastline.

The Cumberland Resort is a modern timeshare resort, while the Erskine House is an old established resort. There are also two caravan parks. Houses are also available for rent.

The Lorne Hotel and the Pacific Hotel are the town's two notorious venues, while Kosta's Restaurant is among the licensed restaurants worth visiting.
