Another installment in Laura Ingalls Wilder's "Little House" series, published in 1941. After the last hard winter is over, the Ingallses move back to their claim and Laura goes back to school, where she encounters the unfriendly eldest Wilder sister and yet again meets up with Nellie Oleson, and gets a job sewing to save up money so Mary, her blind sister, can go to college. She gets involved in De Smet's social life, including unsettling revival meetings, and becomes friendly with Almanzo Wilder.
