Letterlike Symbols are symbols derived in some way from ordinary letters of an alphabetic script. Most are encoded for compatibility with existing character sets.

Despite its name, U+2118    script capital P ℘ is neither script nor capital -- it is uniquely the Weierstrass elliptic function derived from a calligraphic lowercase p.

The black letter style is often referred to as Fraktur or Gothic, which are distinct designs from black, but are not distinguished in any existing encoding.

Unicode's Letterlike Symbols code block reserves the 80 code points from U+2100 to U+214F, of which all 80 are currently assigned.
