Ruler of Tibet from 836 to 842, successor of Tritsug Detsan. Under pressure from the practitioners of Tibet's indigenous religion, began a massive persecution of Buddhism, burning temples and driving out monks. His reign came to an end when a Buddhist monk assassinated him.
