Ahwaz (buckets), it specialized in
medicine, the
Arab conqurers gained great knowledge in medicine when Persia was conqured in 738 A.D.
JundiShapor was founded by Shapor the first, the second king of the
sasanian dynasty in 350 A.D.. It became a major learning center when
Justinian ordered the school of Athens to be closed in 529 A.D.
