Born February 12, 1970 and raised in Long Island. He attended college at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. After his comic strip, Nuts and Bolts, was declined for syndication, he auditioned for MTV's The Real World, largely for the opportunity to live in San Fransisco for 6 months with no rent and no moving costs.

His roommate on the show was Pedro Zamora, about whom he wrote the book Pedro and Me. While Pedro was ill, Judd took over some of his speaking obligations and continues to lecture about AIDS education, prevention, and what it was like to live with someone who is living with AIDS.

On the show he also met his life partner, Pam Ling. He has done illustrations for various Idiot's Guides, two cartoon strips, and several comic books.
