Guitarist for
the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and the youngest in the group by several years. He reportedly came to
New York from
Wisconsin because it seemed like a nice place to die, befriended
Russell Simins, and the rest is history.
His first few lead vocals for the band were shaky at best (some have described them as "
puked up") but he's gotten off
the smack since and has evolved into a calmer, subtle foil to
Jon Spencer's ecstatic wailing.
He also sings and plays guitar in
blues outfit
20 Miles, with brother Donovan on drums.
