Jon Talbain was a skilled martial artist who was infected with lycanthropy. He was told by a gypsy woman that his curse could be lifted when he defeated all of the other Darkstalkers. He wanders the world, seeking out other Darkstalkers, hoping to be his own man again, free of his uncontrollable savage nature again. His ending in Vampire Savior shows that he has students who are awaiting his return.
In Japan, Talbain's name is Gallon. The name Talbain was chosen to sound like Talbot, the name of the classic movie-monster Werewolf.
