John Perry Barlow

1947- Lyricist for the Grateful Dead from 1971 to 1995.

He co-founded (with Mitch Kapor of the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF). He has been contributing editor of numerous publications including Communications of the ACM, Microtimes, and Mondo 2000, also wrote for WIRED. Commentator and consultant on computer security, virtual reality, digitized intellectual property, and the social and legal conditions arising in the global network of connected digital devices. Wrote: A Cyberspace Independence Declaration
