A trumpeter, member of Curtis Counce's hard bop quintet, East Coast stylists in the West Coast belly of the Beast of Cool. Later played in Mort Lindsey's orchestra, the house band for The Merv Griffin Show, where he occasionally stepped out front, for witty repartee and songage with the host. Most famous for Schoolhouse Rock - he's the voice of "Conjunction Junction", "I'm Just a Bill", and numerous similar nooks and crannies in your collective memory.
