The Japan External Trade Organisation

Japanese government body charged with assisting non-Japanese companies to enter the Japanese economy. JETRO was established in 1958 initially to assist Japanese exporters to sell their products overseas (how times have changed! JETRO is now all about assisting foreigners to import into Japan...)

JETRO maintains dozens of offices in foreign countries with services such as free lending libraries on Japanese commerce and importers, periodicals, introduction services, and can even arrange local office facilities for the non-Japanese in many major Japanese cities.

JETRO is an excellent place to receive advice on the correct translation of your all-important meishi, or Japanese business card.
