"It's all in the wiggle" is the unofficial motto of various userfriendly teams (fans of the comic strip who get togeather in through IRC or newsgroups to participate in things such as charity events, lan parties, SETI@Home and the distributed.net RC5 challenge). This refers to the cartoon on February 13, 1998 when Dustpuppy beat Zock (a caricature of the real life gamer Zoid (Dave Kirsch) at a game of Quake. The cartoon goes as follows:

Panel 1: AJ and Mike are standing behind Dustpuppy at a computer.

  • AJ: "Do you think you can actually beat Zock? He's really good."
  • Dustpuppy: "I dunno. Guess I'll have to try."

Panel 2: "wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle" (Dustpuppy's foot on the computer mouse, as he has no hands, the little guy plays Quake with his foot).

Panel 3: Zock appears on the right of the panel.

The joke being of course that it is the dust puppy's wiggling that let him beat the almighty Quake God Zock.

The phrase, both because of it's reference in the strip and it's possible sexual connotations, was adopted by UFies (fans of the userfriendly comic strip). It graces some UF clothing and paraphernalia, including the original run of baseball caps.
