Isla Lang Fisher, born February 3, 1976 in Muscat, Oman, to a family with 4 brothers, that moved to Australia in the early 80's. While showing interest in acting and writing, starting from young age Fisher was casted to several local commercials and TV shows and made her first world-wide notable appearance by being casted to the famous Australian TV show, Home and Away, at the age of 18, in which she played the Shannon Reed character between 1994-1997. Fisher influenced on her Shannon Reed character in the area of writing. During that time, Fisher wrote (and later published) two romance novels: Seduced by Fame and Bewitched.

Seemingly, as the Shannon Reed character left Summer Bay to discover the world, Fisher moved to the UK on 1997. Her popularity and recognition grew, and she was voted 35th sexiest woman in the world by leading men's magazine FHM. She was Darren Day's girlfriend and fiance until their relationship broke off.

Like many other famous actors and actresses, Fisher finally reached the American box-hit movie factory: Hollywood. She took part in the Scooby-Doo movie on 2002 as the Mary Jane character.
