Isaw is a Filipino snack, usually sold at roadside barbeque stalls. It looks like a white worm-like thingy, speared on a piece of bamboo. It's basically grilled chicken intestine on a stick, slathered with BBQ sauce. For those with queasy stomachs, the same stalls usually also sell standard pork or beef barbeque.
Tasty, although you do have to make sure it isn't undercooked. Of course, most roadside stalls aren't really big on hygiene, so isaw and it's ilk are avoided
by those fearful of hepatitis.
Also known in local slang as "IUDs" (You can only shake your head at people perverse enough to eat something while pointing out its physical similarity to a birth control device).
