Irish Mist is a strong, sweet (35% vol) liqueur based on
Irish whiskey.
Flavorwise you don't so much drink it as pour it on your tongue and somehow it just evaporates there, leaving a sweet, entirely pleasant flavour.
It was first sold in Ireland in 1947, based on a development of a family recipe that arrived in the country from the then war-torn Austria.
