INTRAV, founded in St. Louis, MO in 1959, is one of the world's leading providers of luxury travel tour packages by air, land, and sea. Before President Jimmy Carter deregulated the airline industry in 1978, INTRAV's customers were almost exclusively private clubs and affinity organizations. Once INTRAV was allowed to sell air tours to practically anyone, they became famous for their wide variety of lavish international trips, chartered on private jets like the Lockheed L1011, Boeing 737, and, up until recently, the supersonic Concorde. Their grandest air tour, "Around The World By Private Luxury Jet" makes at least eight stops and lasts three weeks, with complete packages starting at about US$40K per person.

INTRAV went public on NASDAQ in 1995 and purchased Clipper Cruise Line a year later. In 1999, INTRAV and Clipper Cruise Lines were purchased by Kuoni Travel Group of Switzerland.
