A "snack food" in the same vein as ramen and pot noodles. Essentially, it's rice that's been pre-cooked and then dehydrated to reduce the cooking time, plus a flavouring sachet. According to the brand I've tasted, they take "3 minutes" to cook, but it turns out more like ten after you've boiled the water, decided if you want to add the flavouring sachet, simmered the rice, fluffed it up, and left it to steam. I've found four flavours so far:

I'm sure it's really nutritious and low in sodium, but ramen is much tastier and quicker to cook.
