This is what I'm cooking right now.

Stuffs:

Do-Its:

  1. Mix all of the dry spices and rub onto the tri-tip steak.
  2. Put the butter and oiled garlic in the Instant Pot and set on saute.
  3. Plop the steak in and sear both sides, around four to five minutes a side.
  4. Stick a trivet under the steak to keep it from burning. Add all of the other ingredients.
  5. Cook on high pressure for 55 minutes, let it naturally depressurize when done.
  6. Serve on a bed of rice or mashed potatoes.

If I have any, I will add a cup of Chinese cooking wine or Italian Chianti for a nice flavor. Sometimes I'll use it to deglaze the pot after searing the steak and then chuck everything else in.
