My friends and I are all intelligent people. Not math geeks by any means, but smart enough that we appreciated and understood the good stuff when we studied it in high school. As such, many of us independently adopted the use of variables in our everyday language. But then we got to college, and learned about the drug culture, and attended a few raves.. And now if anyone says

"When you're in love with someone, you say things like I don't know how I could live without X"
or
"I hate those bumper stickers that say I'd rather be X."

... well, it's just a contest to see who giggles first. Totally ruined.

If you don't understand this, see X.
