First B-Side from the On Your Own single by The Verve, released 1995. Engineered by Simon Wall, additional B-Sides were Little Gem and Dance On Your Bones. I've noded this because it's an excellent tune, and because I think it deserved to be on an album, not hidden away as a B-Side. It's a downbeat one, and could probably be described as a bit depressing, perfect to go with a bottle of whisky and a dose of introspection (or being dumped !). It reminds me of Wild Horses by The Rolling Stones - same sort of tune. The lyrics seem to fit the mood - I don't know what the songs about, it could be the death of someone, not sure.

Light, I see the light
You're there on my floor
You're there on my floor
Fly angel, fly
You're out of sight
You're out of sight

She came in a dream :
No way to describe it
It was in my head
I could but I don't scream
No way to describe it - it was in my head

I have seen things that I can't explain
Looking in through that window pane
Open your eyes and let me in
Don't want you to think that I don't care

{quietly}
I can see the door
I can see the door
I can see the door
You're on your own now

So, I see the door
I see the door
I see the door
It came in a dream, ah
No way to describe it
It was in my mind

What's life without extreme love ?
No way to describe it
It was in my head

I have seen things that I can't explain
Look through that window
Feeling the same
I have seen moments I'd like to share
Scared that you don't want me to live my love

It fades out with him singing either "It's a battle" or "Survival" over and over - I can't make it out.

The guitar chords are as follows :
Verse - G Em C D
Chorus - Em D C D
Bridge - C G C D
