"Hrafninn flýgur" (1984), known as "Revenge of the Barbarians" or "When the Raven Flies" in the anglo-saxon world, is a Swedish-Icelandic film about an Irishman who comes to Iceland to take revenge on the vikings who killed his father and stole his sister to slavery 20 years earlier. Using his wit, he plays the vikings against each other.
Hrafninn flýgur could be called an Icelandic western, the script is based on Yojimbo by Akira Kurusawa, as is the spaghetti western "A Fistful of dollars".
