There is a time in my house when no one speaks. There are no footsteps; no movement whatsoever. Not a sound is made from either sentient or synthetic objects. There is only silence, and the spaces in between. Besides the occasional creak of the wood or the light scratching of a pencil, there is only breathing.

Darkness and silence go well together.
