One of those handy pieces of office equipment that you've either
1) not bought because who needs them anyway
2) lost
and that you'll desperately need of at some point in time. Though not as badly as you might need a stapler or scissors.

A hole puncher punches holes in paper. The larger ones even punch them with the correct separation to fit the type of binder that happens to be sold in your country. The single-hole punchers are painful; avoid at all costs.

Note that the holes punched out from the paper can be used as confetti, if the need should arise.

Better holepunchers can typically handle thicker stacks of paper.
