Hiyu is Chinook for "plenty." It is also the name of a Washington State Ferry vessel, MV Hiyu. The Hiyu has a length of 162', beam of 63', a draft of 11', and weighs 498 tons. It can carry 200 passengers and 40 vehicles at up to 10 knots, and was built in Portland, in 1967.
